Agencies help locals seeking jobs abroad
12/11/2003 16:15

Twenty-three local job agencies were among the first to obtain the business license for overseas employment services issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, eastday.com reported today.
The 23 job agencies will provide employment information, organize training and handle related procedures for Shanghai residents who want to work overseas.
Such job agencies will have a uniform format for their company names and offices. They are required to display their business licenses clearly at their offices.
"Working abroad needs higher a technological standard and comprehensive capabilities, and some illegal foreign companies are likely to lay a trap for local employees," said a spokesman with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
"Local residents should be careful if working abroad," the spokesman added.
Job-hunters can make consultations or complaints for overseas employment services on the hotline - 12333, he said.
