City builds overseas talent pool

Shanghai Personnel Bureau will set up liaison offices in five more countries in addition to the existing ones in France, and US, in attempt to absorb oversea talents and help them establish their career in Shanghai, official from the bureau revealed yesterday.

Offices will be set up in Tokyo of Japan, London of UK, Koeln of German, Sidney of Australia, and Moscow of Russia. Previously the bureau has founded liaisons in France and US.

The liaison offices are responsible for publicizing recruitment information, colleting local talent resource, establish human resource database and provide relevant services for enterprises and students, Huang Weimao of the bureau said. Later the offices will provide online video interview to employers and job seekers.

All the seven offices are set up in cites densely populated with Chinese students, as to provide services to overseas students and acquire abundant information from them.
