22/3/2004 16:21

In order to encourage overseas talent to establish itself in Shanghai, the Shanghai Personnel Bureau will set up 5 new liaison offices. These will be in addition to those already operating in France and the US, an official from the bureau revealed yesterday.

Offices will be set established Tokyo, Japan; London, UK; Köln, Germany; Sidney, Australia; and Moscow, Russia.

The liaison offices are responsible for publicizing recruitment information, colleting local talent resource materials, establishing a human resource database and providing relevant services for enterprises and students, Huang Weimao of the bureau said. Later the offices will provide online video interviewing to employers and job seekers.

All seven offices are to be set up in cites densely populated with Chinese students to not only provide services to overseas students but to obtain information from them as well.
