The Shanghai government plans to cultivate innovative talents over the
next three years, the Shanghai Morning Post reported today.
According to the
Shanghai Municipla Labour & Social Security Bureau, the local government has
given priority to the project for training innovation. The first group of
innovative talents will be developed mainly in six fields, such as advertising,
construction, digital media, artwork, design and culture.
In recent years,
the innovation industry has seen a considerable growth in the world. For
example, in Britain, the output of the innovation industry, including
advertising, construction, exchanges of the artwork and antiques, films, acting
and publishing, was 3 percent of its GDP last year. It is predicted by some
experts that innovative talents will play a growing decisive role in a country's
over-all competence in the near future.
Presently, the Shanghai government
is focusing increased attention on the development of a local innovation
industry. By the end of this year, a practical lab for cultivating talent will
have been set up. Next year, some famous foreign training institutions will also
be brought, the industry noted.
