Female university graduates in Shanghai are on average 57 days later than
their male peers in finding their first job, according to a survey of two local
universities.
Quoted in today's Sina.com, the survey covers more than 800
2004 graduates of Fudan University and the Shanghai University of Science and
technology.
Female students with higher confidence in themselves will find it
easier to get a job, the survey indicates, as they may get an offer some two
weeks earlier than their peers who only feel so-so about themselves.
Fluent
spoken English and a rich variety of social activities will also help, the
survey reflects.
