Shanghai Pudong Development Bank has launched a customized financial program
to better cater to the varied needs of individual clients, Eastday.com
reported.
For example, a couple can open a joint bank account, under which
both can check the details of the other's sub-account but has no access to it,
according to SPDB vice governor Zhang Yaolin.
"In this way, it is easy for
the couple to have a clear picture of their mutual financial situation while
keeping their sub-accounts separate," he said.
Another plan under the program
is designed for parents who regularly give pocket money to their children using
bank accounts, Zhang added.
Parents can ask the bank to regularly transfer
money into their children's sub-accounts, with an authorized access to them,
enabling them to centrally manage the family finances.
"With the new services
on offer, we are aspiring to satisfy the needs of different clients," Zhang
explained, "because many people are seeking transparent financial information
while preferring to retain privacy."
"To meet these requirements, we will
customize our financial programs and may even develop one to help husbands hide
a portion of their income from their wives, he said.
