Banks achieved sound development

Gross profits reached 52.7 billion yuan(US$6.37 billion) of Banks in China

According sources at
the banks annual working report of the China Bank Group the total gross profits
reached 52.7 billion yuan(US$6.37 billion) or 27.1 percent of the previous year
with overseas subsiiary achieving sound growth.
UP till now the four
state-owned commercial banks have announced their annual working report for
2002. ICBC(the industrial and commercial bank of Chia)achieved 44.337 billion
yuan(US$5.36 billion) increasing 10.384 billion yuan(US$1.26 billion) over the
previous year while ABC(the agriculture bank of China) and CBC(the construction
bank of Chia) accounting for an increasing of 9.241 billion yuan(UD$1.12
billion) and 4.8 billion yuan(US$0.58 billion) respectively according to the
statistics.
