CCB personal banking business booming

The China Construction Bank (CCB) is doing brisk business in personal
banking services this year, with individual deposit balances amounting to 1.3826
trillion yuan (US$166.58 billion) for the first two months of the year, an
increase of 96 billion yuan from the beginning of the year, eastday.com reported
today.
The deposit increase in the first two months amounted to 76
percent of the whole year target, the fastest growth in the bank's history,
according to the CCB.
CCB personal consumption loans continued to
increase this year, with individual loan balances reaching 35 billion yuan by
the end of February, up four billion yuan from the beginning of the
year.
CCB reported a bad debt of only 1.65 percent in January and
February, down 0.53 percentage points from a year
before.
