Bank of America to recruit more Chinese employees
8/1/2004 16:45

The Bank of America Corp. (BAC) plans to raise the number of Chinese employees by more than 130 in the coming one year in order to expand its business on the Chinese mainland, eastday.com reported today.
The BAC recently recruited two senior financial managers in Shanghai to expand its global financing operations on the Chinese mainland.
"Adding the two senior posts is part of our move to raise the number of Chinese employees," said Zheng Jiafu, manager with BAC's global product management in Asia. "Our clients need a project to meet the demands of both the Chinese and global markets." Zheng pointed out.
The BAC has made huge investments in Asia over the past two years, with more than half in China, in order to expand its business on the Chinese mainland, said Zheng, adding that next year the proportion is predicted to exceed 55 percent.
The number of local employees will soar to satisfy the demand of clients, he added.
