First foreign investment bank to deal with diamonds in Shanghai

The ABN AMRO Bank announced yesterday that they had been approved to be the first appointed foreign investment bank set in the Shanghai Diamond Exchange, according to the Oriental Morning Post.

From then on, the investors may find the special windows set by the ABN AMRO Bank to operate diamonds and jewelry in Shanghai Diamond Exchange, locating in the Jin Mao Tower.

During his former visits to the leaders of Shanghai Diamond Exchange, Peter Gross, president of International Diamond & Jewelry Operation in the ABN AMRO Bank, expresses his surprise towards the rapid development of the diamond market in China and hoped that with the combination of the comprehensive global net of the ABN AMRO Bank and the excellent local talents, the diamond market in China would have a more prosperous future.

The diamond and jewelry operation is a feature of the ABN AMRO Bank, who funds one-third diamond deals around the world.

The ABN AMRO Bank has set branches in Shanghai, Shenzhun and Beijing, offices in Tianjing, Guangzhou and Wuhan.
