According to a latest survey by Visa International, the world's largest
credit card organization, Chinese people topped the list worldwide by spending
an average amount of US$253 abroad, while using their plastic for expenses. This
was reported by the Beijing Youth Post today.
Spanish people ranked second
on the list, paying an average of US$202 through the plastic card.
The result
of the survey cannot represent the personalities of all Chinese consumers, as
such a group is only a minority, said Xiong Anping, general manager with Visa
International's Chinese region. However, it also indicates that Chinese people
are becoming more generous, mainly using their credit cards while shopping,
Xiong pointed out.
