More foreign-invested financial institutes build local offices

With two new-comers, foreign-invested financial institutions currently have a total of 100 representative offices in Shanghai.
The number of these representative offices is expected to maintain a rapid growth rate this year, with 12 new offices having been established in the first quarter of this year.
To date, financial institutions from 27 countries and areas have set up offices in Shanghai. Among these countries and areas, Japan boasts the largest number, 32 offices, with 24 offices of regional banks.
