Gu Jia/Shanghai Daily news

The Shanghai Railway Exit & Entry Border Inspection Station sent the first discount tourist group heading for Hong Kong yesterday morning, according to today's Oriental Morning Post.
These 40 people, organized by the Shanghai Railway International Travel Service, are privileged to receive a 40 percent discount for their sleeper tickets on K99 (the Train from Shanghai to Kowloon, Hong Kong).
Most of the group members departing yesterday are local citizens, between 30 and 40.  Many are couples.  They will also visit Macao after two to three days in Hong Kong.
This service, starting June 16, is also the first occasion of a group discount on railway tickets.
