The 2006 Shanghai Tourism Ambassador Race, jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Tourism Administrative Commission and Shanghai Media Group, has launched an open call for candidates.

In order to satisfy the esteemed representative position and be capable of handling the promotion of the 2010 World Expo, candidates are required to have at least an associate degree and certain English language qualifications. Locals and expatriates aged 18 through 30 are eligible to register.

Candidates can sign up at Shanghai Cloud Nine Shopping Mall (No.1018 Changning Road) on July 22 or 23, or via a hotline, Internet or short-message.
