Tours to Thailand, which were suspended recently because of the military
coup, re-opened to tourists yesterday, today's Youth Post reported.
The
military coup in Thailand caused nearly half of the tourists to cancel their
tours or change them to another destination. One package tour to Thailand has
been canceled, while another will set off as planned, said a spokesman with the
outbound department of Shanghai China Travel International. Shanghai Spring
International Travel Service recommended that tourists cancel or delay their
trips.
After the military coup was appeased, travelers, though not many,
started to book the tours again. Travelers are still in fear that another
possible threat may happen again.
As Thailand accepts visa on arrival,
travel agencies will accept bookings one or two days before departure.
