Joint tourism network launched
3/3/2004 17:26

The Nanjing passenger transport tourism center was launched this month. It is based on a network trade platform, and linked with the Shanghai and Hangzhou tourism gathering centers, enabling the three cities to share the same ticket-selling system, the Jiefang Daily reported today.
The linked network enables tourism enterprises in the three cities to share customer resources and cut operational costs, and helps travelers save costs, said an industry analyst.
However, to date, they can only share the ticket-selling system, the analyst pointed out, adding that more cooperation is expected in the near future.
In May this year, Shanghai will also cooperate with Hangzhou and Nanjing to offer new tourism promotions for travelers to tour Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province and Shanghai, indicating that a joint tourism program in the Yangtze River Delta region will kick off soon, he stressed.
As of next year, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing will each offer preferential tourism products so that local residents can enjoy the tourism benefits provided by the other two cities, he added.
