Iceland: another travel destination for Chinese
12/4/2004 17:33
A travel memo signed between China and Iceland in Beijing today opens
Iceland as another European travel destination for Chinese citizens, eastday.com
reported today. The move will further enhance bilateral exchanges between
China and Europe and speed up the opening of the overseas tourism market in
China, said an industry analyst. The time hasn't yet been set for domestic
travel agencies to organize package tours to Europe, and currently, the two
parties are handling such necessary procedures as exchanging travel agency lists
and signing business contracts, the analyst pointed out. To date, the
National Tourism Administration has approved 57 countries for travel
destinations for Chinese citizens, signing official agreements with 41 of them.
Local Chinese people are currently allowed to travel to 26
nations.
