Young single ladies unwelcome tourists to Malaysia

Beware, single ladies between 10 and 25 years old who are, planning a travel to Malaysia!
You will probably be shunned the doordenied entry to the Southeast Asian country, as local travel agencies have told Shanghai Morning Post that they've received oral notices from the Malaysian Consulate General to Shanghai last Tuesday stating that it will refuse issuing visas to all single ladieswomen atof this age group.
These LThe ladies may be allowed for theto travel, only if they can show documents to prove that they are married and that they will travel with their husbands. AlternativelyOr, their parents must accompany them in the whilst travelling.
Other Other yyoung single ladies must hand in their visa applications two weeks earlier than the normally requirementsd. They will get thebe granted visas only after obtaining approval from the Malaysian mimmigration authority. Usually, visa applications are processed in three working days.

The Malaysian Consulate General refused to specify the reason for the new policy, the Shanghai Morning Post report said.
The stringent new policy has disturbed local the ttravel agencies, as it's not yet remains unclear who will handle cover any costs, such as air tickets and accommodation, incurred before a visa application is rejectedthe air tickets, hotels and other costs happening before the visa application is rejected.
Industry insiders are worryied that the new rule will greatly hurt the tour business on the e route to Malaysian route. Usually, visa application is processed in three working days.
Some agencies have started to advicse female customers inof this age group to give up their travel plans.
