Shanghai's tourism authority expects about 4 million visitors to come to
Shanghai during the pending up-coming weeklong National Day holiday, which goes
from October 1 to 7, today's Shanghai Morning Post reported.
To ensure a
safe, happy and comfortable tourism service for the tourists, local tourism,
commercial, transport and medical departments will launch undergo thorough
checks throughout the holiday, it was revealed at yesterday's holiday tourism
work conference.
District and county holiday offices will be on 24-hour on
alert to provide consulting services as well as to handle complaints.
Emergency response plans are prepared ready to handle in case of abnormal
situations.
There will be more than 40 tourism activities during the travel
week, including a float parade, a fireworks show display and Jinmao a tower
parachuting show from the Jinmao tower.
