Shanghai Jinjiang International Travel Co Ltd, a leading city-based
agency, will invest 1 million yuan (US$120,919) this year to enter the business
travel market, today's Youth Daily reported.
Jinjiang is taking the lead of
domestic travel firms to compete against their overseas rivals, who have
already started to enter the market and are stepping up the pace to get a bigger
slice of the nation's newly opened-up business travel sector.
Business trips
have become a government procurement target, as travel agencies are now allowed
to organize them for government officials.
