Shanghai opened its largest flagship textbook store on Siping Road in Hongkou District yesterday morning, together with 25 chain stores, today's Laodong Daily reported.
The flagship store, under the Shanghai Xinhua Publishing Group, has a business space of 3,000 square meters. The store is targeting 1.35 million elementary and middle school students in the city.
The Shanghai Xinhua Publishing Group will open another two flagship stores in other districts.
Also yesterday, the city's first online textbook store - www.textbook-shop.com.cn - was launched.
