The city's famous fancy soap brand "Fa" is being removed from the marketplace as a result of a recent spot check by the State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, due to its an excess of insoluble solids, Oriental Morning Post reported today.
Among the 52 fancy soaps from 39 enterprises in 8 provinces and cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province that were included in this spot check, 39 passed, with a 75 percent pass rate.
Its manufacturer, Shanghai Henkel Cosmetics Co. Ltd., indicated that "Fa" would be marketed with better ingredients  next year.
