Yumi katsura welcomes first local customer

A 24-year-old Shanghai
girl became the first local customer for Yumi Katsura in the two months since it
opened on Huaihai Rd, reported today's Oriental Morning Post.

Katsura's first guest was a Japanese lady who brought her new bride's dress back
to Japan last month. The Shanghai lady tried on six gowns before finally chosing
the first gown. Her husband paid 13,500 yuan (US$1632.4), half the total price,
as a deposit. Yumi Katsura will personalize the gown according to information
faxed to her.
It's not merely a deal, said Ye Zhihua, store manager from the
Princess of Jennifer Studio who has signed a one-year contract with Yumi
Katsura. The deal suggests that top quality wedding dresses are being slowly
accepted by the locals.
Ye also unveiled the news that she would meet with
Yumi Katsura next month at an international wedding gown exhibition in Beijing
to discuss adding some new gowns to their
shop.
