Digital China Holdings Ltd unveiled its first joint personal computer
product with Great Wall Computer Co. Ltd. yesterday for family users, after
announcing on July 1 to take over management of Great Wall, today's Sina.com
reported. Market analysts regard the product, Great Wall Jiaxiang 9000, marks
a new era for cooperation between the two domestic PC giants. Digital China
aims to sell 400,000 Great Wall computers next year, according to Li Bing,
marketing supervisor of Digital China's Great Wall PC department. She said
this year's sale is not satisfactory so far, because her company has been
engaged in arranging the cooperation. Digital China reportedly signed a
three-year contract to help Great Wall sell 1 million PCs. Before the
cooperation, Great Wall's yearly sale is short of 100,000.
