Manufacturers angered by Guomei's promotion

As a strategy to
promote sales, Guomei Electronic Appliances Co declared yesterday that all goods
would be sold at wholesale prices in its local chain stores, yesterday's Youth
Daily reported.
Although Guomei explains that they are doing this in order to
make wholesale prices known to consumers, home appliance producers have
protested against this strategy and even threaten to stop supply to the company.
"Guomei's behavior violates the marketing order," said an official with Haier
Group Co.
