The first batch of five anti-SARS agents passed the national test
yesterday, marking a new era in China's persistent battle against the deadly
disease SARS, eastday.com reports today. The test, conducted by the State
Food and Drug Administration, verified the agents had met all the parameters set
by national standards, with no abnormal results in cells. Beijing Sinovac
Biotech Co Ltd and the Medical Science Academy of the People's Libration Army
were the joint developers of the agents.
