More than 400 student and faculty representatives from Fudan University witnessed a flag-raising ceremony on the campus at dawn on May 27.
This ceremony was a prelude to the prestigious university's centennial anniversary celebrations in September.
Portraits and writings from Fudan's founders and previous officials, including Su Buqing, Xie Xide and Ma Xiangbo, were displayed around the lawn, where the flag-raising ceremony was held.
A chorus chanted the university anthem while colorful balloons flew overhead.
At the ceremony, some representatives presented gifts to the university as expressions of their good wishes for its centenary anniversary.
