The China Merchants Bank cooperated with the British embassy to offer a new financing package yesterday to aid Chinese people who plan to study in the United Kingdom, the Beijing Youth Post reported today.
A consulting fair was held at the ground floor of China Merchants Bank's Beijing branch yesterday, attracting nearly 100 Beijing residents, with the one-hour fair extended to nearly three hours.
How to apply for scholarship, the cost to study in UK and what the age limits to study in UK have become the focus of the consultation in the fair.
The financing package includes foreign currency exchange & settlement, personal study loans, study guarantee and deposit certification, according to the bank.
Students can apply for loans of up to 100 percent of the total overseas study costs for no longer than eight years, and should get admission notices or acceptance letters from British schools and offer guaranty and the certification materials from guarantors, the bank indicated.
