University graduates busy starting business
28/7/2003 14:42

More graduating university students of Shanghai are opting to start their own business, with more than 100 university students making consultations at a business-starting conference, the Shanghai Evening Post reported today.
"I want to start my own business, but it is hard for me due to shortage of capital and experience," said Dai Min, a university graduate.
Min Baiqun, a junior student in architecture, has established his own interior decoration company and employed his supervisor by offering high salaries, handling tens of businesses to date.
Shanghai kicked off training for university students to start their own business in the year 1998, and is currently preparing to draw up some training plans tailored for university students, said an industry analyst.
The government will give more aids for university graduates to start their own business, the analyst stressed.
