Peking and Tsinghua, China's top universities in Beijing, plan to admit more
students to their postgraduate programs next year, today's Eastday.com
reported. The two schools will start to receive registration for next year's
postgraduate enrollment test from late September, according to the same
report. Peking University will probably enroll 200 more students in 2004 than
this year's 3,900 and mark the first year that the school admits more than 4,000
students a year to its postgraduate programs, university officials said
yesterday. The programs will be offered at the university, its sub colleges
of medicine and software engineering and a postgraduate school in south China's
Shenzhen. Officials with Tsinghua said the university will also expand its
admission scale of postgraduate programs next year, but they didn't specify the
size of the enrollment.
