Mao Beilei praised
1/3/2004 14:51

"Xin Zhi Yu", the lifetime educational achievements and ideas of outstanding teacher Mao Beilei, was officially available yesterday afternoon. Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng spoke highly of the high-minded teacher, describing her as a model to open students' heart. He encouraged all the local educational workers to learn from her.
Shanghai Vice Party Secretary Yin Yicui wrote the preface for the book.
The book, published by the Shanghai Educational Publishing House, covers two parts: fostering children from the heart, and growing up with young teachers.
Teacher Mao Beilei recorded more than 60 years of her work experience and life understandings in a plain style of writing and analysis of representative cases. Mao completed the work in the hospital, requiring strong perseverance, sticking to her writing until the last minute of her life.
Before the Spring Festival this year, Yin Yicui and Shanghai Vice Mayor Yan Junqi visited her at home. Mao thought constantly of the writing of "Xin Zhi Yu". At that time, her illness worsened and she could not even hold a pen, but she stuck to writing by asking her relatives to take down her dictation.
Yin was greatly moved and wrote the preface for the book. With great respect, Yin appraised Mao as the most respected teacher of children, most reliable friend of parents and most revered model for young teachers to learn from.
