To avoid sudden attack accidents on campus, 110 alarm system will first appear in over 180 schools of 13 communities in Xuhui District by October 15, the Oriental Morning Post reported.

This up-to-date campus alarm system is connected by the ports of schools, police stations and the community offices, including the installment of infrared detectors and alarm bottoms in the significant areas on campus, the start-up of tele-supervisions in some schools and the direct connections to the 110 command center of Xuhui District.

Once the accident happened, the police station of the community where the school locates and the policemen on patrol around would receive alarm at the first time.  The whole procedure took less than five minutes.  Meanwhile, the alarm would be transferred to the community office, which could get in contact with all emergency aid departments.

Niu En'guang, vice director of Youth Protection Office in Xuhui District, said that the series of campus ferocities in Russia, Zhejiang Province and Shandong Province aroused high recognitions of the campus security problem from the whole society.   The Ministry of Education dispatched a message to the education administrative departments, schools and kindergartens of all levels days ago that the personal security of the students should be insured.
