Special security guards have been newly employed at over 160 public kindergartens in Pudong New Area recently.  These kindergartens are also all equipped with a 110-alarm system to increase the safety, Wen Hui Daily reported today.

Concern for the security of the kindergartens has arisen after several major injuries happened in schools with insufficient security. the Social Development Bureau has selected several special security guards, aged between 30 and 40 and with army experience, from over 20 local housing companies.  As well as the security guards, there are several supervision cameras set in key places in the kindergartens, such as the cafeterias, to provide electronic security when there are no-guards on duty.

Over 20 private kindergartens in Pudong New Area have been asked to equip their institutions in the same manner as the the public ones.
