Scotland's government announced recently that it's university graduates may
get a two-year, in-country "right of abode" upon application, the Oriental
Morning Post reported today.
Suffering from a negative population growth in the country, the government
has approved that graduates, possessing a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor's
Degree from any of the countries universities, can request for a two-year right
of abode in Scotland; furthermore, the qualification of the applicants is now
being eased to include those who graduate from colleges as well claims Scottish
Executive Jack Mcconnell.
The local government is also promoting a free consulting service, providing
information on living, working and studying in Scotland, both to help with those
overseas students and to encourage them to contribute to the development of
Scotland. Questions on issues involving immigration, applications for work
permits and visas are welcomed.
