To ensure the education quality of higher institutions, the Shanghai
Educational Committee recently began an inspection on the graduate students¡¯
presentations, reported today's Oriental Morning Post.
The inspection focuses on papers or designs presented in 2003 and 2004 by
graduates from the local full-time universities and colleges. At the same
time, the authorities will recognize the school's work with regards to research
spending, working attitude of both instructors and students, and the school's
management and supervision over the graduate presentations.
The
inspection is divided into three phases; self-inspection by the schools,
spot-checks by educational experts and summarization and communication.
Completion of the self-inspection phase is expected before March 31. The
Shanghai Educational Committee plans to start the on-campus spot-checks by the
end of May.
