Ten new university arts centers will enrich local university students in the area of culture.
To mark the event, a ceremony was held on March 13 which featured a student chorus from local Fudan University and an orchestra from Jiao Tong University at the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center; it was attended by nearly 2,000 local university students and teachers.  City vice Party Secretary Yin Yicui and vice Mayor Yan Junqi were present at the show.
The 10 centers are the Student Chorus Arts Center, the Student Symphony Arts Center, the Student Chinese Folk Music Arts Center, the Student Music Arts Center, the Student Drama Center, the Student Folk Operas Center, the Student Film Arts Center, the Student Dancing Arts Center, the Student Clothing Arts Center and the Student Martial Arts Center.
