A recent online survey finds at least one-third of the current university students regard their campus lives as very boring, and up to around 80 percent sometimes feel boring.
The survey, launched online jointly by the research center of the China Youth Daily and the portal website www.sina.com on March 29, was regarded by some as not accurate, but favorers argued that the result must have reflected some aspects of students' lives and their attitudes.
The organizer first posted a question "Do you regard the campus life as meaningful and enjoyable?" online, and then received 2,451 answers. 80 percent of them said "They sometimes felt the campus life boring," 35.4 percent of which even found it "too boring." One respondent added, "We only know we should go to the university, but don't know why."
Analysts said the result reflected that at least some students found themselves lost after university education, feeling gloomy and helpless, doubting whether something should be done to improve in the national educational system which has been lack-lust to at least 80 percent targeted.
