With the accomplishment of the exterior facelift, Paramount
Shanghai,this former haunt of the rich and famous is destined for glory once
again. Shanghai Morning Post reported today.
Construcuted in 1931, the
Paramount was once the most luxurious establishment of its kind in Shanghai and
was known as the number one dance hall in the Far East fell into a depression
during the Japanese occupation of Shanghai.
The reconstruction of the
Paramount will remain its Baroque in architectural style The former corridor,
rosewood dancing pool, the Jazz band will recall the customers the heydays of
Shanghai, and meanwhile, a piano stage reaches 3 merters high, a giant cocktail
bar and a today antrum were intruduced, and alongside, some American pianists
and Phillippine bands will make their dubut, said a faculty of
Paramount.
