City launches science and technology incubator

The Science and Technology Pioneer Park, a business incubator for
local university students, was officially launched in the university town of
Yangpu District yesterday, the first of its kind in Shanghai.
The Yangpu
District will rebuild the traditional factories around the universities into a
science and technology park with low costs and rents to pave a way for local
university students to start their own business.
The park will locate on the
Wudong Road near the Fudan University, with Tongji University and Shanghai
University of Finance and Economics in the neighboring places.
The Yangpu
university town has already boasted two state-level science and technology parks
in Fudan and Tongji University and a state-level high-tech incubator base.
