Argentine former soccer player Oscar Ruggeri thanked yesterday the gesture
of Argentine soccer national team coach Diego Maradona, who seek to incorporate
Ruggeri to the national team as field assistance despite they were fall out.
Ruggeri said that he will be with Maradona "inside or outside" the team.
Ruggeri also said that he "never" saw president of the Argentine Soccer
Association (AFA) Julio Grondona "so nervous" as yesterday, since he refused
Ruggeri to be part of the technical team.
On TV and radio declaration, Ruggeri said that he was "gratefully amazed"
with Maradona's decision on choosing him and pointed that he thinks "very
similar for Argentine team."
Ruggeri said that when Maradona returns from Glasgow, Scotland, where he will
debut as coach, they will continue "talking" about the issue.
"If there is a possibility to work I'd love it, if not then I will be
supporting from outside as I've always done," Ruggeri said.
"I will be with Diego on what he need, from outside, from inside, from
everywhere."
For the match in Glasgow Maradona will be assisted by Alejandro Mancuso and
Miguel Angel Lemme, the doctor will be Javier Swiatlo and the masseur will be
David Rabellino.
