Cameroon soccer player Clement Francis, who was serving his apprenticeship
at a Vietnamese club based in central Nghe An province, suddenly died, according
to a provincial hospital yesterday.
The player had signs of congenital cardiovascular disease, the Military Zone
No. 4 Hospital said, noting that he had died on the way to the hospital on Oct.
12.
Defender Clement Francis suddenly fell down unconscious while doing a warm-up
with members of the Military Zone No. 4 - Sara Group Club.
Francis and two of his fellow countrymen started to serve their
apprenticeship at the club in early October. The club and the defender have yet
to sign any contracts.
