The first two practice rounds for Formula 1's Turkish Grand Prix on
Sunday, was held in Istanbul Park yesterday, the semi-official Anatolia news
agency reported.
Ferrari driver Flipe Massa headed the timesheets with a best lap of 1m
27.323s at the morning's first pactice.
Two McLaren drivers: Heikki Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton took second and
third places close behind Massa's Ferrari. Finnish driver Kovalainen proved full
recovery from his accident in Spain with with a lap of 1m 27.456s while
Hamilton's best lap was 1m 27.752s.
In Friday afternoon's second practice in Istanbul Park, Kimi Raikkonen scored
the best lap with 1m 27.543s for team Ferrari. Close behind Raikkonen was
Hamilton with a lap of 1m 27.579s. Massa ranked third with 1m 27.682s.
The third practice and the qualifying rounds for the Turkish Grand Prix will
be held on Saturday.
