World records of men's 100m and 110m hurdles ratified

The world records of Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt in the men's 100m and Cuban Dayron Robles in the men's 110m hurdles, have been ratified by the athletics' governing body, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
Bolt, 21, ran 9.72 seconds in New York on May 31, breaking the mark of 9.74 seconds set up by his compatriot Asafa Powell.
Robles timed 12.87 seconds in Ostrava on June 12, breaking the previous record of 12.88 seconds set by China's Olympic champion Liu Xiang.
