Guilin to host China's short-track rally championship

The world famous scenic spot of Guilin in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang
Autonomous Region will host the 2008 national rally championship at Guilin
Jinlong international Circuit on November 15. Sheng Yongping, general manager
of Guilin Jinlong International racing car Co, said the championship, the top
A-level professional car racing events nationwide, is co-sponsored by Jinlong,
Car and Motorcycle Sports Management Center of State Sport General
Administration and China Automobile sports federation. Guilin Jinlong
international Circuit covers a piece of land measuring more than 106,560 square
meters, which is one of the seven national short-track rally circuits and the
only Environmentally friendly green circuit nationwide that was built on the
basis of beautiful mountains and water and natural hills. The championship will
attract lots of racers from all over China. The short-track rally
championship, a two-person race, originated in France in 1988, which is held on
tracks with double driveways, solid crosses and close loops made of
Sandstone. The track of the championship is about two kilometers' long, the
racer who first reaches the end point becomes the winner.
