1/9/2008 17:35
There is no stopping the 18-year-old Kenyan Pamela Jelimo who completed
the fifth of six stages in her quest to at least share the Golden League US$1
million jackpot in Brussels on Friday. The Olympic 800m champion won with a
1:54.01 run in Zurich last Friday. This puts the phenomenal teenager, who has
only been racing 800m for the first time this season, into third place on the
all-time list, with just world record holder Jarmila Kartochvilova (1:53.28
1983) and Nadezhda Olizarenko (1:53.43 1980) ahead.
