Visiting Pakistan Academy cricket team beat Kenya by an innings and 82
runs in their second four-day international match in the coastal city of Mombasa
yesterday. A news release from the global cricket body said the victory gave
the Pakistan nationals a 2-0 series win as they had also triumphed in last
week's match by four wickets in Nairobi. The tourists declared on a massive
665 for two Sunday with two triple centuries each from Fawad Alam (302) and
Raheel Majid (317) in reply to Kenya's first innings total of 209 all
out. Some improvement in the Kenyan batting saw the hosts to a relatively
respectable second innings total of 374 all out in 93-2 overs with Morris Ouma
topping Kenya's scocre card with123 but it was all in vain as the Pakistani's
wrapped up a 2-0 series win. Half centuries from Steve Tikolo (53) Thomas

tourists to the brink of victory. Faced with a huge first innings target,
Kenya was unable to respond and were 374 all out in 93.2 overs in the second
innings. The hosts had scored 209 all out in 79.5 overs in the first
innings. Morris Ouma scored put up a sterling effort with the bat in the
second innings scoring 123 off 166 balls, which included 15 fours and a six
before he was caught by Khurram Manzoor. There was no such joy for the rest
of the batsmen who failed to cope with the Pakistan attack in the stifling
heat. Pakistan's bowlers Yaseer Shah claimed four wickets for 93 runs while
Mohammed Talha ended with figures of 3 for 97. Anwer Ali, Junad Khan and Ahmed
Shezhed each claimed a wicket each. In the first innings, Steve Tikolo top

international before moving to Nairobi for two more one-day international
matches on Saturday and Sunday.
