7/11/2008 17:06

Myanmar youth volleyball team will take part in the forthcoming 15th Southeast Asia (SEA) Junior Volleyball Tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia, next week as a preparation for the 25th SEA Games in Laos in 2009, according to the Myanmar Volleyball Federation (MVF) today.
The 13-member team, comprising 10 under-19 youth players, left in Yangon this morning for Jakarta to participate in the 15th SEA junior volleyball tournament scheduled for Nov. 9-16, Joint Secretary of the MVF U Nyi Nyi Lwin told Xinhua.
Five youth volleyball teams -- host Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam from SEA and Sri Lanka from South Asia -- will appear in the eight-day tournament, he said.
Myanmar will compete in the 25th SEA Games with a team made up of senior players from national team and junior players from the youth team as most of the players of the Myanmar national volleyball team have become aged, he added.
