Water ski world champion to compete in American Cup

Water ski world overall champion Jaret Llewellyn will arrive in Chile
today to participate in the American Cup of the Champions Tour 2008 at the
weekend. The Canadian, winner of the World Cup in 2007 and current number one
in the rankings, will be accompanied at the competition by French Frank
Desboyaux, current number 18 in the world. Water ski is a sport that mixes
surfing and ski. The first world championships was in 1971 in Gerona, Spain and
it was an exhibition sport at the Munich Olympic Games in 1972.
