Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery will have to stay away from today's
Bundesliga match at Stuttgart for shoulder injury.
Ribery suffered the injury in Bayern's 3-2 Champions League winin Lyon on
Wednesday, the German club said yesterday.
The Frenchman has been Bayern's outstanding player in recent months as the
club has embarked on a 15-game unbeaten run.
Bayern coach Juergen Klinsmann, who comes from near Stuttgart and still has
family in the area, is returning to the club where he started his major league
career looking for a win that could put Bayern on top of the Bundesliga for the
winter break.
Hoffenheim leads Bayern on goal difference and plays Schalke tomorrow.
Klinsmann will be able to field defender Lucio and midfielder Ze Roberto
after both Brazilians missed the game in Lyon, but reserve striker Lukas
Podolski is still struggling with a back problem.
