Brazilian striker Edmundo announced yesterday that he will rethink on
his retirement from the soccer world.
"I am like an actress. I am open to any offer. I may look like a hypocrite
after all I said about retiring, but if a tempting deal presents, I will
seriously consider it," said Edmundo, who announced retirement at the beginning
of the season.
"Over the past couple of days, I cried while listening to the advice of my
close friends. They, as well as me, think that the best way to close out my
career would be in a positive one. For this reason, I may play a while longer."
The Vasco Da Gama striker said the fact that his club fell to the second
division of the Brazilian championship made him change his mind.
